A local bench versus posting it away
Both can fix a console. The difference is who you deal with, and when you find out what it costs.
| What matters | Level Up Repair | Mail-in and kiosk services |
|---|---|---|
| Who does the work | The technician who quoted you | An unnamed central depot |
| When you learn the price | Before you hand anything over | After it has been taken in |
| Where your device goes | Our Oakville bench, nowhere else | Posted to a distant facility |
| If it cannot be fixed | You pay nothing, diagnosis included | A diagnostic fee usually applies |
| The turnaround you get | Business days, based on parts in stock | An estimate rather than a commitment |
| What the warranty covers | 90 days on the part and the labour | Varies by service and by location |
How a repair works
Three steps, and you know the price before the second one starts.
-
Step 1:Choose the device and see the price
Pick what you have and what it is doing. The estimator shows the repair and the fixed price straight away.
-
Step 2:Hand it over, or send it in
Walk in during opening hours, or post it to us. Diagnosis is free either way, and nothing starts until you approve.
-
Step 3:Collect it working, tested
Every repair is retested against the original fault, and the 90-day warranty is on the part and the labour.
-
Step 4:Or just ask us
If the estimator does not cover your fault, phone the workshop. You will speak to the person who does the work.
Common questions
How long will my repair take?
Most controller work is finished the same day. Console port repairs usually take 2–3 business days, because they involve board-level soldering and a full retest before handover.
Do I pay if you cannot fix it?
No. Diagnosis is free and there is no charge if we cannot resolve the fault. We will tell you before starting if a case looks doubtful.
Are the prices on this site the prices I pay?
Yes. Every repair listed is a fixed price including parts and labour. If we find secondary damage we stop and quote the difference rather than adding it to the bill.
Will I lose my game saves?
No. Physical repairs do not touch internal storage, so your games, profiles and captures stay exactly as they were.
Do you use genuine parts?
We fit genuine or OEM-spec components. We do not use the cheap unbranded parts that reproduce the same failure a few months later.
Looking for something else?
Browse by the kind of device you have.
-
Game controllers
Drifting sticks, sticky triggers, dead buttons and charge ports.
-
Consoles
HDMI ports, no power, overheating and disc drives.
-
Phones and tablets

Visit the workshop
No appointment needed. If you are bringing a console, the unit on its own is all we need unless the fault is with a cable or controller.
